Role Title: Climate Science Initiative Data Analyst Intern
Organisation: Department of Water and Environmental Regulation
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Joondalup or Perth CBD (dependent on days)
The Climate Science Initiative (CSI) team is seeking an intern to help with the technical aspect of the project, including data analysis (using python), database handling and linux as well as HPC environment.
The intern is welcome to use the data for visualisation. The Climate Science Initiative data involves future climate projection data for WA up to the year 2100.
The intern will work with the CSI data scientists on tasks around this initiative.
The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation supports Western Australia’s community, economy and environment by managing and regulating the state’s environment and water resources. The department is responsible for environment and water regulation, serving as a ‘one stop shop’ for industry and developers, with the aim of streamlining and simplifying regulation.
