Role Title: Community Development Intern
Organisation: Town of Cottesloe
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Cottesloe
The intern will work closely with the Senior Community Development Officer. They will support a range of programs and initiatives that strengthen community engagement and inclusion.
They will assist with administrative tasks, website updates, event planning, and grant research. The role involves working closely with staff across the Community Development team and other Community Development Officers from neighboring councils, attending stakeholder meetings, and engaging with community groups involved in events such as NAIDOC Week, Seniors Week and Carers Week.
The intern will support the implementation of the Town’s Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, assisting with day‑to‑day tasks and contributing to ongoing reporting and improvement activities. This will give them practical experience in inclusive practice, accessibility considerations, and community‑focused project delivery.
To preserve and improve Cottesloe's natural and built environment and beach lifestyle by using sustainable strategies in consultation with the community.
