Role Title: Policies & Procedures Intern

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Role Description

The intern will support the development, maintenance, and modernisation of organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines across key areas including Safety, Injury Management, Injury Prevention, Occupational Health, Psychological Wellbeing, and Respiratory Protection. Their contribution will focus on reviewing, streamlining, and updating documents to ensure they are clear, accessible, and aligned with current best practice. The role will also involve assisting with the standardisation of Standard Operating Procedures, Workplace Instructions, and wellbeing guidelines, as well as helping to prepare resources that are practical, engaging, and fit for purpose for staff.
Working alongside the WSIM team and supervisors, the intern will gain hands-on experience in policy and procedure development, document governance, and stakeholder communication. They will also provide support on selected safety and wellbeing projects, contributing to meaningful improvements that enhance staff safety, wellbeing, and organisational performance.
