Role Title: Marketing and Communications Intern

Neurofibromatosis WA supports people and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF), raising awareness of the condition and connecting individuals with information, support and community. Neurofibromatosis WA is seeking a motivated Marketing and Communications student to assist with two key projects: NF Shine a Light Day and the organisation's Christmas communications campaign.
Project 1: NF Shine a Light Day
The student will assist Neurofibromatosis WA to develop and promote an awareness campaign and celebration for NF Shine a Light Day in Perth and Mandurah.
Key Activities
Campaign and Event Planning
Assist with planning a suitable NF Shine a Light Day celebration in Perth and Mandurah.
Research ideas for community activities, gatherings and awareness events.
Assist with developing a campaign timeline, promotional activities and communications plan. Identify opportunities to bring the NF community together around the campaign.
Strategic Lighting Opportunities, Research prominent buildings, landmarks and public spaces that may be suitable for NF awareness lighting.
Identify organisations and venues that offer community or charity lighting opportunities.
Project 2: Christmas Social Media Campaign
The student will assist Neurofibromatosis WA with its social media communications during the Christmas period.
Key Activities
Develop a schedule of Christmas and end-of-year social media messages.
Create engaging and appropriate Christmas-themed content for NF Social Media pages.
* Our mission is to provide support, information and assistance to persons and their relatives suffering from or concerned with Neurofibromatosis.
* To increase education and awareness in both the public and professional arena
* Promote research into the cause and prevention of Neurofibromatosis and methods of alleviating its effects.
