Role Title: Early Childhood Wellbeing and Development -Research Intern

Role Description

The project would require completion of some desk top research related to the South Hedland Community including demographic data with a particular emphasis on indicators of vulnerability related to child wellbeing and development. The research would span children pre-natal to age 8. The intern is expected to complete a mapping exercise of local services in the region who are actively supporting children and parents of this same cohort.
The project would have the intention of identifying unmet need and gaps in service delivery, which would then be explored further through the development of surveys, interviews and focus groups. The overall aim would be to produce a report of the community, and the community needs and suggest how existing services could address these gaps. This role is ideal for candidate studying Psychology or Public Health, with an interest and knowledge in early childhood development, community development, primary education, child health, etc.
