Role Title: STORC Research Intern

The intern will assist the State Obstetric Referral Call (STORC) Team in a research capacity. Data collection will be available for two possible projects scheduled to be running at this time. Project a) The percieved impact of a midwifery led 24-hour telephone support service acoording to St John WA Ambulance personel. b) A Newborn Hypothermia, equipmemt and education (HEAT) Study. Comparison of 12 months of EPCRF data linked to hospital admission temperature of newborn babies born in the out of hospital setting prior to and after the HEAT intervention. The HEAT intervenion will involve the introduction of new equipment such as axilla thermometers and warming devices, staff education on hypothermic newborns and improved documentation capabilities.
