UWA is developing a Staff Companion AI Agent — a smart, responsive digital assistant designed to enhance the staff experience. This internship project focuses on exploring methods and tools for testing and evaluating the performance, accuracy, and reliability of the AI Agent response before its wider deployment. As an intern, you’ll contribute to UWA’s AI innovation efforts by: researching industry practices and frameworks for testing conversational and generative AI systems; designing and conducting test cases to assess the Agent’s functionality and user experience; and analysing test outcomes and preparing a report with findings and practical recommendations for the UWA IT team.
This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of AI, software testing, and digital experience design, making it ideal for students with interests in data science, AI systems, or human–computer interaction.
UWA IT facilitates and supports the information technology requirements at UWA for both, staff and students.
