Role Description

Wanslea provide a range of programs to children and youth across Western Australia with a specific focus on assisting those experiencing vulnerability. The Research and Evaluation (R&E) team at Wanslea work across the organisation to support the evaluation of programs in both the Children’s Services sector, NDIS and Inclusion support, and various Community Services including Foster and Kinship care. We offer programs in metropolitan Perth and across regional WA. The R&E team also explore research opportunities as they arise within and across programs and scope funding to assist in exploring and identifying solutions across these areas.
The Internship role being offered is that of a Research Assistant based in our Bentley office. The Intern will work with the Wanslea team in projects focused in the areas outlined above so would be of interest to those with a Social work, Family support, Allied health and/or Education background. The tasks to be undertaken will include but not be limited to: • Literature searches within databases for references to support current projects and future funding applications • Assisting with ethics applications in terms of creating and formatting consent forms and other documents for submission • Scoping of potential grant sources for future funding opportunities • Data sorting from both qualitative and quantitative sources • Inputting data into survey platforms • Transcribing audio and/or video data • Editing audio/video data for showcasing
