Role Title: Staying in Place Model Development and Commercialisation Intern
Organisation: Pingelly Community Resource Centre on behalf of Pingelly Somerset Alliance Inc.
Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: Pingelly, Western Australia
The intern will work with the Staying in Place Pingelly team to explore whether our successful community-led aged-care model can be developed into a comprehensive, commercially available package. This package would support local governments, CRCs, not-for-profit organisations, aged-care and health providers, and individual communities to establish their own Staying in Place program.
The intern will review the advice, templates, policies, training and implementation support we currently provide to communities free of charge. They will research comparable models, identify opportunities to expand our existing resources, investigate suitable pricing and business models, and consider practical matters including intellectual property, licensing, branding, accreditation, quality standards and ongoing governance.
They will also help develop ideas for a package prototype, which may include an implementation guide, business planning tools, policies and procedures, position descriptions, marketing resources, training, software guidance and options for ongoing telephone or in-person support.
The project will conclude with recommendations about the package’s feasibility, structure, pricing and presentation ideas for potential purchasers.
