Role Title: Chronobiology Clinical Research Intern

The intern will join the Developmental Chronobiology Team at The Kids Research Institute Australia and support the launch of the CIRCA DIEM KIDS Study, a longitudinal follow-up of children who participated in the CIRCA DIEM clinical trial as preterm infants.
CIRCA DIEM KIDS will follow children at 5–8 years of age to investigate their longer-term health and development, including neurodevelopment, general health, vision, hearing, respiratory health, sleep and physiological outcomes.
Working closely with the CIRCA DIEM research team, the intern will contribute to practical activities required to transition the study into recruitment and implementation. Activities may include developing family-friendly study and engagement resources; assisting with recruitment and participant retention strategies; preparing study workflows, checklists and implementation resources; testing study databases and electronic questionnaires; supporting data quality activities; and undertaking targeted literature reviews to inform study processes.
The intern will work primarily with researchers and clinical research staff within the CIRCA DIEM team and will gain exposure to a multidisciplinary child health research environment. They will attend relevant team meetings and have the opportunity to contribute to a defined project that produces practical outputs for the study.
