Role Title: Fundraising Strategy & Community Events Intern

Hensman Street Elementary is an independent micro school in South Perth with a big vision: to provide education that truly sees and nurtures the whole child, and to inspire a broader shift toward holistic, community-rooted schooling.
This internship offers the chance to support Hensman by assisting with the planning and preparation of fundraising and community engagement activities for the year ahead. The intern will work closely with the leadership team to research fundraising opportunities, contribute to the planning of small-scale community events, and explore donor and partnership initiatives.
Key contributions may include:
• Researching and identifying potential fundraising opportunities, events, and donor prospects aligned with Hensman’s mission
• Supporting the design and planning of fundraising campaigns and community events for 2026
• Assisting in the development of a fundraising calendar, including timelines, tasks, and resources required
• Helping collate and maintain a database of donors, supporters, and partnership opportunities
• Researching best practice approaches to fundraising and donor engagement for schools and not-for-profits
• Assisting with partnership outreach and communications
We are seeking a proactive, organised contributor who is keen to help strengthen Hensman’s fundraising capacity and community presence. This role would suit someone with experience or an interest in fundraising and/or events planning.
