Role Description

Victoria Park Library is seeking an enthusiastic intern to support the digitisation of its local history collection, helping to preserve and improve community access to historical resources.
Working alongside the Community History and Engagement Librarian, the intern will assist with the digitisation of photographs, documents, ephemera and historical objects, ensuring materials are accurately captured, organised and prepared for online access. The role will also involve applying metadata and quality assurance processes to improve the discoverability and long-term preservation of the collection. This internship offers valuable experience in digital preservation, archival practices, information management and cultural heritage, while contributing to the accessibility of local history for researchers, students and the wider community.
