Role Title: Statewide canteen mapping

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: East Perth
Our research intern will work with senior staff to continue mapping the school food environment in Western Australia, addressing a current lack of systematic data. While Foodcore estimates that approximately 70% of WA schools have a canteen or other food service, there is limited information about how these services are managed, the days they operate, and how food is provided across all schools. The research intern will also explore opportunities to collect comparable data in other states and territories, in collaboration with Foodcore’s partner organisations. This work will help build a stronger evidence base to inform future research, policy and initiatives to improve the school food environment.
