Role Title: Marketing Intern 1: Public Open Space Digital Content (SpacetoCo and Mapping)
Organisation: City of Kwinana
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Kwinana Town Centre
The intern will support the City of Kwinana’s Community Facilities Planning team to improve the presentation and accessibility of information about public open space (POS) sites that are bookable or promoted for community use. Working with the Community Facilities, Parks and Building Maintenance teams, the intern will compile and enhance digital content for key parks and POS areas, including search engine optimisation (SEO), descriptions, and imagery on SpacetoCo and the City’s website.
Using aerial mapping tools, the intern will assist in creating or refining simple layout diagrams that show site features such as activation zones, nodes, facilities and infrastructure. This work will help residents, community groups and event organisers choose suitable spaces for their activities, supporting the City’s Strategic Community Plan (SCP) goals for connected, active communities, and the Community Infrastructure Plan (CIP) direction for equitable access to quality community spaces.
The role is embedded within the City Life Directorate’s Community Facilities Planning team, providing a supportive, practical local government environment with clear guidance and supervision.
