Role Title: Social Media Review and Recommendations Intern
Organisation: Melville Cares
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Palmyra / Claremont
This role will utilise Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn metrics along with personal feedback to critique current Melville Cares and Western Suburbs Cares social media activity, and make recommendations for future initiatives, which may include additional social media platforms, reels and videos, targeting of specific groups, post scheduling, integration and tracking with the website for events and campaigns. Whilst aware that many of our primary audience may not use all or any platforms, the recommendations should acknowledge the platforms as an awareness raising, brand reinforcement and for some audiences lead generating tool – e.g. Potential workers; volunteers; adult children of people needing support, etc. The recommendations will assist with our digital channel optimisation going forward, which is still in its early days. Ideally the intern would have experience of using social media analytics, although we do not have access to monitoring tools such as hootsuite or media monitoring software. They would report to the Strategy and Brand Manager, work closely with the Communications, Events and Marketing Officer and we will arrange a session with our Client Consumer Committee also.
Our vision is we at Melville Cares believe older peoples lives should be as fulfilling as at any other stage of life.
