Role Title: Mental Health Research Intern: Supporting Clinicians to Respond to Emotional Distress

This internship is based at The Kids Research Institute Australia within the Children's Diabetes Centre.
Supervised by Dr Anna Boggiss and Dr Keely Bebbington, the intern will contribute to the early development of a training program designed to increase healthcare professionals' confidence and skills in responding to emotional distress among young people living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and their families.
The intern will assist with reviewing existing evidence on communication skills training, and clinician education programs relevant to mental health and chronic illness care. They will contribute to evidence synthesis, support the development of training content and study materials, and help inform a future pilot evaluation of the intervention.
This project would suit students with strong interests in mental health and health psychology.
