Role Title: Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Project Intern

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: Nedlands and/or West Perth

Role Description

The intern will have the unique opportunity to work across two teams within North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS); the Strategy team under the Strategy and Transformation Directorate, and the Women’s Health and Strategy Programs team under the Women and Newborn Health Service Directorate. The intern in this placement will have the opportunity to work on their own project as well as working with their teams to assist with the implementation of various actions as part of the NMHS Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Framework.
Including the below: • Host, support, and facilitate FDV awareness raising initiatives such FDV awareness month (May). • Review and update NMHS FDV patient-facing resources and resources for health professionals including fact sheets, brochures, posters and pamphlets. • Define the objectives and requirements for FDV patient data collection across NMHS through a written report. • Inform clinicians of any changes as part of the Digital Medical Record roll out that may impact FDV presentations, specifically regarding patient privacy through the development of a fact sheet. The intern will engage with various teams across NMHS throughout the duration of the placement.
