Role Title: Energy Efficiency Project Evaluation Intern

Location: City of Gosnells Civic Centre, Gosnells
The role is required to evaluate the energy and financial savings of the City's existing and past energy efficiency projects, to inform the programming of future energy saving initiatives. Energy management software is currently used to capture data on utility consumptions (water, gas, electricity) and the City's uses this information to report on corporate energy use and emissions. This software has additional capabilities and a tool that allows the input of project information (project period, cost, details, location, etc.) and can be used to evaluate the projects savings and inform a business case for future projects. This additional capability has not been fully explored. It would be the role of the intern to input project information into the software and a write a business case for future energy saving initiatives based on the evaluation of previous energy efficiency projects as well as developing recommendations for future use and integration of the tool. The role is supervised by the City's Strategy and Sustainability Officer and based in the Office of the CEO. The work may require some interaction with other teams, such as Project Managers, but will be predominantly computer based and involve the use of a number of the City's IT systems.
