Role Description

SMHS Digital Health Team, who oversees information technology and information management, recently stood up a new team called the Digital Investment Office (DIO). This team is responsible for overseeing all requests for digital solutions, ensuring they go through a robust governance, quality assurance and planning process before being implemented. The DIO is also responsible for digital investment planning, or planning what solutions are needed and putting up funding requests for large programs of work.
The DIO is working with the SMHS executives to prioritise and plan the next 6-12 months of digital solutions to be purchased / implemented. The intern will get involved in this process, including: 1. Preparing investment plans with guidance from supervisor 2. Documenting the investment planning process. 3. Preparing papers for budget submission. There will also be 'business as usual' work which could include helping to scope out digital solutions, completing governance documents and various process improvement activities.
