Role Title: Grants and Fundraising Intern: Kwinana Loop Trail Stage 2 Sponsorship Package

The intern will assist the City of Kwinana’s Trails Officer and Community Facilities Planning team to prepare a professional sponsorship package for Stage 2 of the Kwinana Loop Trail Northern Trail Hub and Bike Park. This stage currently has approximately AUD 2.5 million secured toward a target of AUD 6.5 million. The role will help attract corporate partners through clear, persuasive communication of the project’s community, tourism and economic benefits.
The intern will review existing planning and business documentation, research sponsorship best practice, and develop a structured, tiered framework with associated materials, including a prospectus, presentation slides and a potential sponsor list. The work directly supports the Strategic Community Plan (SCP) and Community Infrastructure Plan (CIP) objectives for active lifestyles, local tourism and connected community spaces.
The internship offers meaningful experience in fundraising strategy, corporate partnership development and place‑based infrastructure planning within a local government context.
The City of Kwinana is a local government area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 118 square kilometres in metropolitan Perth, and lies about 38 km south of Perth central business district, via the Kwinana Freeway.
