Role Title: Digital Engagement and Content Intern
Organisation: The Family Inclusion Network of WA
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Midland
Fin WA is seeking a Digital Engagement and Content Intern to support the organisation to strengthen its online presence and digital storytelling capability.
Fin WA provides advocacy and support services to parents who have had children removed from their care or who are at risk of entering the child protection system. The organisation works alongside families to elevate lived experience voices and improve outcomes for children and families.
Working closely with the CEO and advocacy team, the intern will contribute to a project focused on making Fin WA's resources, stories and community impact more accessible through digital channels. The internship will involve reviewing current communication approaches, developing practical digital engagement tools, creating reusable content templates and helping establish systems that can continue to be used beyond the internship period.
The intern will primarily engage with Fin WA staff and organisational resources, while also learning about the experiences of families involved in the child protection system through existing case studies, advocacy work and lived experience initiatives.
This role provides an opportunity for students interested in communications, marketing, social impact, community development, public policy or social services to apply their skills within a purpose-driven organisation working to create systemic change for vulnerable families.
Fin WA provides support and advocacy for birth families* of children subject to child protection interventions. We work in partnership with families to elevate the voice of lived experience to inform, influence and lead change.
