Role Title: Training Program Development Intern
Organisation: Hospitality Disability Network WA Incorporated
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: West Perth
This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside the Hospitality Disability Network WA (HDNWA) team to help design an inclusive training program that supports people with disability to access meaningful employment in hospitality and tourism.
Under the guidance of an experienced Program Lead, the intern will contribute to the development and design of a real training framework, rather than program delivery. The role focuses on shaping training content, learning pathways and participant resources that respond to industry needs and support inclusive employment outcomes.
The intern will be involved in a mix of research, co-design and practical content development, including reviewing best-practice inclusive training models, helping translate complex information into clear and accessible materials, and contributing to pilot-ready training resources. This placement offers insight into how community and industry-led programs are developed, funded and implemented.
The intern will primarily interact with:
• the HDNWA program team
• training and workforce development projects
• community-focused employment initiatives
This role is well suited to students studying social sciences, community development, education, public policy, health or related disciplines who are interested in disability inclusion, workforce development and social impact. By the end of the internship, the student will have contributed to a tangible training resource.
