Role Title: Research & Data Analytics Intern (Alumni Engagement and Giving)

The University of Western Australia's Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) division is seeking a Research Intern to support a strategic research project exploring the relationship between alumni engagement and philanthropic giving.
This project forms part of the evidence base being developed to inform UWA's emerging Leadership Annual Giving Program. The successful candidate will undertake an exploratory statistical analysis to investigate whether specific alumni engagement behaviours are associated with philanthropic outcomes such as first-time giving, donor retention, repeat giving, gift value and progression to higher levels of giving. The role will involve working with alumni engagement and donor datasets, conducting literature reviews, applying statistical and regression modelling techniques, and translating findings into meaningful business insights. The outcomes of this project will help inform future prospect/donor activation and engagement strategies.
The intern will work closely with Manager, Systems and Reporting and Senior Development Manager within DAR. The project provides an opportunity to apply advanced quantitative analysis skills to a real-world strategic challenge while contributing to evidence-based decision making within the university's philanthropic programs.
