UWA developed a prototype new Student Portal in 2025, which was met with enthusiasm from both students and stakeholders. The next phase of the project will transform this prototype into a fully functional, production-ready platform. The result will be the new UWA Student Portal — a central, user-friendly space for accessing academic, administrative, and wellbeing services.
As an intern on this project, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team working to enhance the student digital experience at UWA. Your tasks will include: conducting interviews and usability testing with students to refine portal design; contributing to design improvements, interface enhancements, and content development; and assisting with the build, integration, and testing of the software platform.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital transformation, user experience design, and agile software development within a real university context.
