The WA Seniors Card (WASC) is regularly used in metro areas for its travel and retail discounts. It is less widely known and utilised in regional parts of West Australia where there are less business partners and services for WASC members.
The Community Engagement intern will be working on the WA Seniors Card (WASC) Regional Strategy and role will include:
- building relationships with stakeholders and promoting the merits of the WA Seniors Card to businesses in regional towns to gain regional partners for discounts.
- working with local government authorities in regional areas to develop co-branded events and initiatives that activate seniors in WA country towns.
- promote awareness of the WASC to regional residents through content, events and engagement.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
