Role Description

We are seeking a Project Intern to work with the St John of God Health Care Group Arts and Health team, providing project support to the development of key components of a new Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (MEF) for our national arts and health program.
Arts and Health relates to the idea that arts engagement can be a means of promoting, maintaining and improving health and wellbeing in the general population or specific target groups (School of Allied Health, University of WA 2022). Arts in health encompasses all artistic modalities that can take place across the health care continuum. Investment in arts in health research and programming at SJOGHC is underpinned by the organisations Mission, where the provision of distinctive and holistic services that “promote life to the full by enhancing the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual dimensions of being human”, incorporate a holistic, evidence informed model of care. Arts in health at SJGHC is made up of three interconnected yet distinct areas: 1. St John of God Health Care Art Collection 2. History and Heritage 3. Participatory arts and health and allied health The Project Intern will support the Group Arts and Health Manager, Curator and History and Heritage Manager and other internal stakeholders in the development of an evaluation framework that support SJGHC to demonstrate the impact and influence of it's own arts and health activities for improved patient, caregiver and community outcomes.
