Project context:
North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) is running a proof of concept (PoC) of HealthX. The project aims to reduce waste, avoid unnecessary purchasing, and improve reuse of surplus items such as furniture, non-critical equipment, and office supplies. HealthX provides a centralised platform where staff can list surplus items, request what they need, and track approvals and transfers. What the intern will be doing? Support the implementation of the HealthX PoC across NMHS sites. Assist with staff onboarding and troubleshooting, helping users understand how to list, request, and transfer items. Work closely with the vendor (HealthX) to resolve system issues, clarify functionality, and improve user experience. Help develop and deliver communication materials (e.g. quick guides, emails, FAQs, updates). Contribute to the engagement strategy to encourage staff uptake and ongoing use of the platform Support reporting and data analysis, including usage trends, cost avoidance, waste reduction, and lessons learned from the pilot Assist with documenting feedback, risks, issues, and improvement opportunities during the PoC Who the intern will interact with? NMHS clinical and non clinical staff across hospitals and sites (end users of HealthX ) Local department contacts involved in supply, stores, administration, and asset management The HealthX vendor team, working collaboratively on implementation and troubleshooting Project team members within NMHS
