Role Description

The research Intern will play a key role in supporting our community outreach initiative Reducing Stigma for Children and Young People experiencing Neurofibromatosis.
This involves research to identify any global programs, research or best practice models that can help inform the project and avoid 'reinventing the wheel' Conduct research on current marketing trends and community outreach best practices. The intern will assist the Project Manager project plan and then start developing resources for ongoing development programs for teachers, principals and staff, as well as a series of school-based community education sessions for parents and children with and without NF. These will provide much-needed training to equip schools with the knowledge and strategies to effectively support students with NF and their families. Support the planning and execution of a community engagement event, including logistical support and promotional activities. Assist in efforts to find and map NF patients in WA, potentially by utilizing existing contacts and approved NF Facebook group information.
