Role Description

This placement offers a motivated McCusker Centre student the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Ngala's Child Safe Project — a key initiative designed to strengthen our alignment with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
Working alongside our Quality and Impact team, the student will help assess current practices, identify gaps, and support the development of tools, resources, and processes that enhance our accreditation readiness. This role is ideal for someone passionate about community wellbeing, social impact and outcomes, organisational development, and creating environments where children feel safe, respected, and empowered. Key Responsibilities Assist in reviewing organisational policies and procedures against the National Child Safe Principles Support the development of child‑safe resources, training materials, and implementation tools Contribute to project planning, documentation, and stakeholder engagement Help prepare evidence and frameworks required for future accreditation processes Participate in team meetings and provide insights to strengthen child‑safe culture What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience in social impact and organisational capacity‑building Insight into child safety standards and accreditation processes in Western Australia Opportunities to develop research, communication, and project coordination skills
