Project Intern - Redevelopment of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology roster at OPH

Role Title: Project Intern - Redevelopment of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology roster at OPH

Organisation: North Metropolitan Health Service

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Location: Osborne Park

Role Description

The current consultant roster for obstetrics and gynaecology department at OPH is poorly fit for purpose. There have been significant changes in consultants working patterns over the past few years, making the current roster challenging to provide fair and necessary clinical opportunities for all consultant staff.
By redeveloping the roster I would hope to be able to remedy this and to improve patient satisfaction, with improved efficiency, accountability and continuity of care. The project will require consultation with the midwifery staff, allied heath staff, operating theatre managers and administration staff, as all these personnel are also stakeholders in the areas that we use and work. Our new roster will need to fit in with the activities of these other stakeholders.
