Role Title: Data Analysis and Reporting Intern - For the Speaking Out Survey

Organisation: Commissioner for Children and Young People

Internship Period: Winter (June - July)

Location: Perth

Role Description

The Commissioner for Children and Young People has a statutory responsibility to monitor the wellbeing of all children and young people living in Western Australia and advocate on their behalf.
You will be assisting in the analysis of data collected from our Speaking Out Survey. A state-wide survey conducted by our office in which we visit schools across WA to ask up to 20 000 children and young people about their wellbeing. Part of your role will involve identifying key trends and insights, as well as contributing to the development of comprehensive reports that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. You will also be helping to review and update our Indicators of Wellbeing, a practical data resource that provides a single, collated overview of the wellbeing of WA’s children and young people. This may involve finding and updating our sources with more recent data, as well as creating data visualisations and summaries to go on our website.
