Role Title: Project Intern - CIVAL Evaluation
Organisation: Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors (ASeTTS)
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Highgate
ASeTTS has been delivering the Community Innovators, Volunteers and Educators (CIVAL) program for 10 years. Currently funded by the Department of Home Affairs, the program assists leaders in local diaspora migrant communities to develop and apply leadership skills to support and strengthen their communities. While the program has promising short-term impact data (skills and knowledge development), it does not have longitudinal data that can point to the program's community-level impact. This evaluation will involve contacting all CIVAL alumni and interviewing them to determine if and how they have applied their program learnings in the community, any community-level outcomes that were achieved as a result, and what this means for the success of the CIVAL program longitudinally. The role will work with the Community Development team with strong input from the CEO.
The Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors (ASeTTS) has a proud history of serving humanitarian entrants and refugees settling in WA since 1992. ASeTTS aspires to provide holistic services that assist refugee survivors of torture and trauma to rebuild their lives.
