Role Title: Worksafe Legal Intern

Organisation: Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS)

Internship Period: Winter (June - July)

Location: East Perth

Role Description

The Worksafe Legal team advises the Worksafe Commissioner in relation to the regulation of work health and safety legislation in Western Australia.
As an intern with the Worksafe legal team, you will contribute to an important project assisting with the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with new legislation. Your role will focus on assisting with legal research, statutory interpretation and the analysis of the operations and functions of the Worksafe business units. You will work closely with senior lawyers to develop guidance, summaries and resources to support a real ongoing legal project.
