Role Description

The Communications Support Intern will support the development and implementation of effective communication strategies to engage with and inform various stakeholders regarding disability matters and to enhance Disability Assembly WA's (DAWA) public image. The role will create content for various platforms and ensure consistent messaging that aligns with DAWA's vision to unify, support and champion the disability eco-system in Western Australia to ensure world best outcomes for people with disability, their families and carers. The role will also develop a comprehensive and targeted external communications list of contacts.
This position will primarily interact with DAWA disability stakeholders such as DAWA Board and Council, DAWA communications committee, disability organisations and local government. This interaction will be guided by the supervisor. All the work of DAWA Board and Council members, staff and volunteers is underpinned by the DAWA SPIRIT: "From lived experience DAWA is a safe and welcoming place of belonging.
