Role Description

The Strategy and Coordination team supports DPIRD’s Minister, the Director General and Corporate Executives to champion and drive strategic outcomes. The team co-ordinate agency and ministerial relationships with central governments to monitor trends, represent WA/DPIRD’s best interests, strengthen the voice for WA primary industries and regional development, and the profile of DPIRD to the community and our stakeholders.
With the Strategy and Coordination team, Interns will support the ESG Reporting in Strategic Documents project to define how DPIRD can integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance reporting into its strategic documents, • Conducting research and analysis of current practices • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders • Preparing a summary of findings and recommendations, including a tested ESG reporting format for existing documentation. As well as the Customer Service Charter Development project, • Researching customer service charters of other agencies • Developing a project and stakeholder engagement plan for DPIRD's charter • Aiming to establish clear service principles and enhance DPIRD's external customer relationships. This role will involve establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders mainly working with the Strategy and Coordination Team to complete project outcomes but communicating with various business areas within DPIRD and external government agencies.
