Role Title: Youth Program Intern: Organisational Development and Education Program Endorsement

Organisation: SHINE Inspire Achieve Belong

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Geraldton and from home

Role Description

SHINE (Inspire, Achieve, Belong) is a Geraldton-based not-for-profit supporting girls and young women across the Mid West to build confidence, strengthen relationships and remain engaged in education.
SHINE is seeking a motivated summer intern to contribute to an organisational development project exploring program endorsement through the Western Australian Department of Education and potential recognition towards the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). Working with the CEO and SHINE facilitators, the intern will research endorsement requirements, review existing programs, map current activities against relevant criteria and identify opportunities to strengthen service delivery. The project will also involve developing recommendations and a practical roadmap to guide SHINE's next steps, with opportunities to consult school leaders, principals and relevant education authority contacts. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in research, project management, service design and stakeholder engagement while contributing to a project with lasting potential benefits for young people and regional communities. We welcome applicants studying education, social sciences, community development, youth work, public policy, project management or related fields who are organised, analytical and motivated to make a meaningful contribution. The intern will be required to complete a formal project handover at its conclusion.
