Role Title: Biomedical Engineering Intern – RPH Innovation Hub

The Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) Innovation Hub is a new facility to help Western Australian clinicians connect, collaborate and innovate. The RPH Innovation Hub offers a dedicated space for 3D-printing of high-fidelity prototypes, supported by biomedical engineering expertise.
The role will involve working closely with the Hub’s Innovation Technical Lead (the “Engineer in Residence”) on projects referred to the Maker’s Space.
The internship will consist of a combination of desk-based tasks (planning and evaluation), hands-on lab tasks (3D printing, 3D scanning and iterating prototype designs) and consultation activities (to validate and enhance the design components).
In addition, the intern may provide some general support to the Innovation Team on an as needed basis and learn about how Innovation functions as a business unit with the WA public hospital system.
