Role Title: Policies and Procedures Intern: Audit Process Development

The role sits within the Wagering and Community Gaming Compliance team in the Gaming and Wagering Regulation (GWR) branch at the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS). The GWR branch supports the Gaming and Wagering Commission through a range of regulatory compliance and enforcement initiatives.
In this role, you will be involved in supporting activities such as:
- Problem‑solving and continuous improvement through process analysis of current financial audit programs (e.g., gap analysis, researching available tools within the department that could support digital solutions)
- Improving the business systems maintained by the team
- Financial Audit Process development
- Using Microsoft and other data analytics tools
- Process mapping
