Role Title: Stroke Research Centre- Rehab Services Registry Developer
Organisation: Perron Institute
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Nedlands
The intern will support the Stroke Research Centre’s Rapid Recovery and Rehabilitation program to develop a practical, searchable registry of rehabilitation services across the care continuum, from acute hospital care through to outpatient, community-based, and longer-term support services.
The role will involve helping to organise and structure information about rehabilitation providers, services offered, eligibility criteria, referral pathways, locations, and contact details. The intern may assist with reviewing existing service information, identifying gaps, standardising data, and contributing to the design of a user-friendly registry interface that can be accessed by relevant health, research, and community stakeholders.
The intern will primarily work with members of the Stroke Research Centre team and may also interact with health service providers, community organisations, and people with lived experience of stroke or other neurological conditions. These interactions will help ensure the registry is accurate, practical, accessible, and aligned with the real-world needs of clinicians, researchers, service providers, stroke survivors, families, and carers.
The Perron Institute purpose is based around three key strategies. To deliver world leading Translation Research, Clinics and Breakthrough Therapies.
