Role Title: Parliamentary and Executive Government Services Intern

Organisation: Department of the Premier and Cabinet

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Location: West Perth

Role Description

The intern will gain hands-on experience in parliamentary and executive council processes, including the lifecycle of legislation. Key responsibilities include:
Learning about the procedures for drafting, debating, and passing legislation through Parliament and obtaining Governor’s assent. Conducting research on legislative processes and best practices. Designing and developing an online training module that explains the legislative journey from initial drafting to enactment. This role offers a unique opportunity to understand government operations and contribute to creating educational resources for legislative training.
