Role Title: Community Engagement Intern
Organisation: Neurological Council of WA
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Nedlands
The Neurological Council of WA is seeking a confident and strategically minded Community Engagement Intern to support initiatives that strengthen connection and collaboration across WA's neurological community, including assisting with the coordination, launch and delivery of consumer involvement, community education and peer support group activities, helping to create inclusive opportunities for people with neurological conditions, their families, and carers to connect and engage.
The role will also contribute to the development and growth of our 'Small & Mighty' not-for-profit and support group organisational members. This may involve facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing between different organisations and helping member organisations with administration, research, grants, promotions and events to build capacity, awareness, reach and sustainability.
The Neurological Council of WA is the peak body for the Western Australian neurological sector and works in collaboration with research, health and disability professionals and organisations to champion brain health and increase community awareness, understanding and management of neurological conditions. We are also funded by WA Health to deliver Neurocare, our Community Neurological Nursing and Health Navigation Service.
