Role Title: Project Intern - Youth Engagement
Organisation: Play Matters Collective
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Murdoch
The intern will be undertaking the following tasks
1. Attendance at Play Matter Collective (PMC) monthly meetings. Occasional meetings may occur at the Commissioner of Children and Young People's office in the city
2. Participation in the work of the PMC such as contributing ideas related to its website (public outreach) and advocacy for public awareness on the importance of play in people’s lives, including assisting with early childhood education conferences.
3. Assisting with PMC website ideas and communications
The Play Matters Collective (PMC) is an affiliation of organisations and individuals with a shared vision to ensure children’s and young people’s right to play is supported across all levels of the Western Australian community. The PMC mission is based on the principle of using collaboration in the pursuit of positive change and seeks to work with all levels of the community with a mutual interest in supporting children and young people’s fundamental right to play to promote their learning, healthy growth, and development.
