Role Title: Research Intern
Organisation: The Y WA
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Welshpool
The Y WA recently commenced a historical exploration of racist or exclusionary practice of the YMCA since foundation in Western Australia so as to understand the organisation's relationship with Aboriginal peoples. This role is a continuation of that work, started by McCusker interns in June and July of this year. Working closely with the CEO, this body of work is the first step in the Y WA's truth telling journey. The successful candidate will also be responsible for writing a rationale of why this history is important for the Y.
