The McCusker Centre for Citizenship’s Student Advisory Committee will be holding a panel event titled Active Citizenship in Context: Creating Impact Through Social Enterprise on Thursday, 29 September 2022 at the Tattersall Lecture Theatre, The University of Western Australia.
As the challenges facing our local and global communities evolve over time, the strategies and models we use to create solutions develop too. Social enterprise models have been described by some as the future of social impact, as people seek more sustainable models of creating change and delivering impact than traditional non-profit organisations.
This event aims to inform and educate students on what social enterprise is, how this model differs from traditional models of social impact and how to maximise active citizenship through creation of or involvement in a social enterprise, with a panel of special guests and experts in the social impact sector.
