The McCusker Centre for Citizenship hosted the 2018 Sir Wallace Kyle Oration which was delivered by Professor Fiona Stanley AC. Professor Stanley spoke about her inspirational career and passion for improving and advocating for the health and wellbeing of our children through her work in public health.
More than 250 people, attended Professor Stanley’s Oration which focussed on her early career as a clinician, her study of epidemiology and public health, and her role in establishing a multi-disciplinary research institute, lobbying for a national agenda for children and young people, advancing Aboriginal health care and social justice, and calling for action on climate change.
No doubt Professor Stanley’s Oration has inspired a new generation to follow in her footsteps to become active citizens.
