Applications now open for students to join our 2017 Student Advisory Committee

21 February, 2017

The McCusker Centre for Citizenship at UWA is an Australian-first initiative that aims to expand our engagement with the community and to see the involvement of students in the work of community groups and not-for-profit organisations through internship, scholarships and service learning projects.

Opportunity

The McCusker Centre for Citizenship is seeking proactive and committed students and representatives for our Student Advisory Committee to help lead, facilitate and offer advice to the Centre and its activities, including student and community engagement.

Advisory Committee

The Centre's Advisory Group is comprised of current University students. We are seeking additional committee members to enhance disciplines, college, diversity and student representation.
The committee meets monthly, and commits a further 5 hours/month on initiatives and activities arising from student-led planning and coordination with the Centre. These may be student engagement, events, internships, scholarships, leadership programs, mentoring, alumni and ambassador representation, and promotion through social media and networks.

What We Offer

Explore your passion and purpose, grow skills, knowledge and relationships, broaden your networks, make noteworthy contributions to community, and differentiate your CV.

To Apply

Please email a 1-page expression of interest to info@mccuskercentre.uwa.edu.au by 13 March 2017. Applications are highly competitive on merit, demonstrated leadership, teamwork and commitment, and student and community stakeholder engagement.
