This is Sisi, who will be travelling to Bangalore, India in the coming weeks to participate in our Pollinate Student Fellowship Program with the Pollinate Group!
We are looking forward to hearing all about her experience, and sharing what she achieves and learns, but for now, we wanted to let her introduce herself…
My name is Siseana – or Sisi, for short. I am an international student from Indonesia, studying a Master of Public Health. I love working with the community - and spending my time outdoors or in coffee shops :)
I undertook an internship with the Telethon Kids Institute through the McCusker Centre for Citizenship in Semester 1, supporting the Early Mental Health and Neurodevelopment team to conduct several systematic and scoping reviews for creating high-quality environments for infant mental health development.
I am going to Bangalore to practice the application of global citizenship. With Pollinate Group, an established company working within a social enterprise model, I will try to make a small contribution to address the challenges of poverty, gender inequality, and energy access.
I was motivated to apply for the Pollinate Student Fellowship as I was moved by the Pollinate Group’s understanding that poverty and gender inequality have direct consequences to population health. I am really looking forward to learning more about Pollinate Group’s existing community development program, and to support in ways that I can through this experience!
