The Big Idea is back at UWA for a second year!

10 August, 2017

The McCusker Centre for Citizenship has partnered with the Centre for Social Impact UWA, Bloom and the Innovation Quarter to bring The Big Issue’s The Big Idea competition to UWA for a second year.
The Big Idea competition gives undergraduate students a chance to create a project or business plan for a social enterprise that could potentially change the lives of thousands of disadvantaged Australians.
In multi-discipline teams of four to six, students develop their concept and business plan with support from the team at Bloom and a unique set of resources available on The Big Idea website. The resources include webinars, templates for business plans and budgets, suggested readings and a forum for asking questions.
Prizes include:

  • A trip to Melbourne for competition judging
  • A professional immersion at PWC in Melbourne
  • An iPad
  • The winning teams are fast-tracked through the PWC graduate recruitment process!

Expressions of interest are open for undergraduate students who have an idea for a new social enterprise or social business until 14 August.
