AI Implementation Intern

Role Title: AI Implementation Intern

Organisation: South Metropolitan Health Service

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Myaree

Role Description

The intern will be working on a continuation of a project based on survey responses from patients who have been discharged from South Metropolitan Health Services. The survey responses will be shared with the staff at hospitals, however the content of the survey free text needs to be filtered and censored before being released. The intern will utilise AI software to perform this function. Additionally, the intern will need to create a way for the AI to recognise the sentiments of the comments and identify if they are positive or negative.
If the intern completes these tasks early, there is second project they will be working on which involves utilising AI to summarise the notes that humans have written on cases where a patient has been admitted for more than 10 days. Both of these projects are aiming to remove the human aspect from these tasks.
