Online Recovery Program Project Intern

Role Title: Online Recovery Program Project Intern

Organisation: Wungening Aboriginal Corporation

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Location: East Perth

Role Description

Ngalla Wirrin Wungening (Our Spirit Healing) - Online Recovery Program
Wungening is currently participating in a pilot of the Life Process Program. This is an online recovery program for people experiencing challenges with addiction. This pilot is an exciting opportunity for Wungening to be able to deliver our services direct to people in their homes, in prisons, even on a mine-site, truly meeting people where they are at. We know there are large amounts of people who may never access a service in person due to the fear of loss of status, impacts to employment, shame and stigma, along with other responsibilities. By delivering our Ngalla Wirrin Wungening program through an online portal, we are offering people genuine options to seek support from the safety of their own space. Working with the Ngalla Wirrin Wungening (NWW) Leadership Team, the NWW - Online Recovery Program Project Intern will support Wungening to: - capture insights about the online platform - explore ways of engaging staff and people seeking recovery support - identify strategies to continuously improve the participant experience of the platform
